Hydroseeding Services By Orion Erosion Control

 

Minimum Charge: 

$ 1,000.00 - Covering up to 4,000 Sq. Ft. (Depending on the mix) on a single property using our "Orion Green Supreme" enhanced mixture.

Estimates: There is no charge for an over-the-phone estimate, simply call. You will need to know the approx. square feet of the area to be hydroseeded (length X width = square feet) less home, walks, drive, and landscaping. We will also measure at the time of hydroseeding, we only charge you for what we spray. It's better to overestimate so we have enough of the mix made, it can be used for the next job.

Quotes: Our time is as valuable as yours, a $100.00 fee will be due at the time of visit. This cost will be credited if Orion Erosion Control provides any of our services. This visit will include measuring to determine the amount of hydroseed needed, assessing soil conditions, and the growing environment. A written proposal will be provided. Request a Quote today.

Buyer Beware: It is important to realize that all hydroseed is not the same. You may find that prices will vary if you are shopping around for Hydroseed. Remember cheap hydroseed is usually cheap for a reason. As the saying goes "You get what you pay for" and "Good goods are never cheap and cheap goods are never Good!" The price will change based on the quality of the seed and the additional products in the mixture. One of the more important products in the mix that will influence the cost and results is the type of hydro-mulch used. Paper mulch is economical but it easily erodes and degrades quickly. Thermally refined wood mulch provides an excellent growing medium, provides longer protection, and will not erode like paper mulch. We use 100% premium wood mulch giving seed better protection and providing optimum moisture. Orion Erosion Control uses the highest quality seeds and additives to give you the best lawn possible and we guarantee it.

Choices to fit your budget: We offer 3 enhanced mixes and a standard mix that can be customized. Each mix contains the same Premium Quality Grass Seed, Hydro-Mulch, and Fertilizer. We always recommend our best selling.

“Orion Rapid Growth Mix:” This is one of our second-best seller blended mix.

Orion Standard Mix: This is our most affordable hydroseed mix which contains the necessary additives that will produce much better results than any other way of seeding. You may customize this mix by adding or removing products. 

Our standard hydroseed mix includes the necessary products that will produce a premium quality lawn with little to no weed competition during the establishment phase. Additional products may be added to this mix to speed up germination, retain moisture, and reduce the chances of insect damage and diseases.  Our enhanced mixes include some of our more common additives that will produce faster results and an overall healthier lawn.

If you have any problems or concerns with your new lawn during the first 30-60 days we encourage you to give us a call. If you have any concerns with your lawn after the first 30 days we will try to find a solution to any problems but in most cases, we will advise you to contact a licensed lawn care professional. We encourage all of our customers to sign on with a local lawn care professional to take care of your new lawn. This will take the guesswork out of trying to give your new lawn the correct treatments. 

Orion Erosion Control Inc. Guarantees to our customers that we use the highest quality materials available for the hydroseeding process. Certified turf grass seed is applied in a mixture of water, high phosphorus fertilizer, hydro-mulch with tackifier, and other additives. The hydroseed slurry is applied evenly to your prepared soil using the most advanced hydroseeding equipment at the appropriate rates. If the seed does not germinate evenly within 30-60 days of application (weather permitting) due to product failure or workmanship, those portions of the lawn that have not germinated will be re-seeded one time at no charge under the following conditions: Potential problems must be brought to our attention within 30 days of application. Orion Erosion Control Inc. is not responsible for weed competition or eradication. Not responsible for acts of nature, vandalism, diseases, or anything else beyond our control. This includes spotty germination as a result of soil compaction, torrential rains, drought, or any other weather-related conditions. This guarantee is not valid for late-season dormant seeding when soil temperatures drop below 50°F. A care guide will be provided; it is the responsibility of the customer to be sure this guide is followed. For best results, the top 4-6 inches of soil must be loose so the hydroseed will root evenly. This guarantee does not apply to seed supplied by anyone other than Orion Erosion Control Inc.

Support Information:

Lawn Renovations & New Lawn Construction: The cost of Hydro seed-applied per square foot. This is the cost for Orion Erosion Control to apply hydroseed to your already prepared soil. New lawn construction and renovation may include the removal of the old lawn or leveling out a roughly graded area removing rocks, roots, sticks, and other debris. Grading equipment, manpower, and the removal of material will add to the overall cost. Other factors to consider is accessibility for equipment, underground and above ground obstacles and time needed for handwork vs tractor work. For new lawn construction, the addition of 4-6” of topsoil may be required and for lawn renovations typically only 2-4” of new topsoil will be needed. Good quality topsoil will cost on average $50.00 a cubic yard delivered. Topsoil may be costly but it is the essential foundation of a turf quality lawn. 

A typical lawn renovation will add approximately $.50 – $.90 cents more a square foot. An example of a 5,000 Sq. Ft. lawn renovation would include removing and leveling out of the top surface. Incorporating 2” of new topsoil to replace what was removed and condition the existing soil and finally Hydroseed with our Orion Green Supreme mixture. On average the total cost of this job would be approximately $ 3,800.00. You may request a quote so we can provide you with an accurate price for your particular property.

Terms:

The total amount is due upon immediate completion of work unless otherwise specified. The interest of 1½ % per month (18% per annum) will be charged on the entire past due to balance after 30 days. If collection procedures are necessary, the client will pay all costs of collecting, including reasonable attorney’s fees. A $25.00 service charge will apply to all returned checks.
